Wayne Bell
Wayne

Wayne Bell has been a professional musician for over 30 years.

During this time he has been the first call drummer for artists such as Gin Wigmore, Dave Dobbyn, Greg Johnson, Bic Runga, Tim Finn and many more, in fact, it would be easier and quicker to list the artists he hasn’t recorded or performed with in New Zealand and around the globe.

In recent years Wayne has spent more and more time in the recording studio where as well as playing multiple instruments (drums, guitar, bass, keys, mandolin and banjo) on many artists records, he has become one of New Zealand’s most in-demand producers. Some of his most recent production credits include albums for Jan Hellriegel, Andrew Keoghan, Lindon Puffin and Victoria Girling-Butcher as well as hit singles for Annah Mac and Lisa Crawley.

Wayne is also one of this country’s busiest writers of soundtracks and commercials. He has written music for many well known television shows including ‘Coasters, Homegrown, Burying Brian’, and most recently, the hit drama series ‘Nothing Trivial’.

He has also written TV and radio ads too numerous to list and is currently writing for the team at Merlot Place Media.
